My Story

My path to accounting wasn't a straight line, but each step helped me find work that fits who I am. I earned my bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of Southern California and built experience in contract administration, where I learned to manage details, navigate requirements, and follow through on commitments.

Working in the Accounting Department at Vroman's Bookstore helped turn those strengths into a career direction. Through reconciliations, financial reporting support, invoicing, cash desk responsibilities, and 1099 preparation, I discovered how much I enjoy making sense of financial information. There's something satisfying about finding a discrepancy, understanding what happened, and getting the numbers to balance.

That experience led me to pursue my master's in accounting at the University of San Francisco. Connecting what I learn in class with the work I do every day has made this journey especially meaningful. I'm building on practical experience while developing a deeper understanding of the principles behind it.

My goal is to become a CPA and continue growing into an accounting career grounded in accuracy, integrity, and trust. I bring curiosity, a willingness to ask questions, and the patience to work through the details. Accounting has become more than a new direction for me—it's a future I'm excited to build.
